Just finished this one last night. It's on a two inch deep canvas with the sides painted so that it doesn't need to be framed. See the next photo.

Dorothy's Painting
This is a painting I did for my sister Dorothy. The children are her grandchildren Adam and Faith. I did the painting for her Birthday 10/28. I had a copy made on canvas for myself.

Landscape 9/22/10
This is the latest painting. I still may tweak it a bit, but it basically finished. I'm not sure which frame to put on it, so perhaps you could help me out.
Unframed
Choice "A"
Choice "B"
Can't wait to get started on the next project. I'm not sure what it will be, but I think it will be something entirely different.

First Blog
Some of my friends and family have asked to see photo's of some of my art work. Years ago I had a web page and it was a real pain to keep up to date. It seemed I needed to relearn the program each time I wanted to add something. Technology has come a long way and I think this simple blog might just be the answer.
I'll just give a little background about my art work. I had painted watercolor for a number of years, but had stopped painting and had not painted at all for about 3 years. Around the first part of May of 2010 I decided to give acrylics a try. I've enjoyed using acrylics and I find that I'm painting almost every day. I'll post a few photo's of my work here today and try to keep this updated as I go along.

This Rose was my first Acrylic painting.
Cherries
Not a very good photo of the cherries, I'll try to find another one to post at another time.
I like the wrapped canvas on the water lilies
Inspiration for this painting was from a photo taken of my cousin Roger Lahr's grandson's.
Actually, this painting isn't quite finished yet. I still need to do some glazing on it, but I've stopped working on it for the time being.
Any comments will be welcome. As I said earlier, I'll post more as I go along.
