I'll just give a little background about my art work. I had painted watercolor for a number of years, but had stopped painting and had not painted at all for about 3 years. Around the first part of May of 2010 I decided to give acrylics a try. I've enjoyed using acrylics and I find that I'm painting almost every day. I'll post a few photo's of my work here today and try to keep this updated as I go along.
This Rose was my first Acrylic painting.
Cherries
Not a very good photo of the cherries, I'll try to find another one to post at another time.
I like the wrapped canvas on the water lilies
Inspiration for this painting was from a photo taken of my cousin Roger Lahr's grandson's.
Actually, this painting isn't quite finished yet. I still need to do some glazing on it, but I've stopped working on it for the time being.
Any comments will be welcome. As I said earlier, I'll post more as I go along.

ReplyDeleteIt is Wednesday, September 22nd and I am leaving a comment on Bobby's wonderful blog. Looking fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the painting of Roger's grandsons. It has a Norman Rockwell feel to it. Very nostalgic, a moment captured in time.
